We welcome Nick, Sydni, Delia and Elwyn to the community of All Saints and St Catherine’s as Nick takes up the post of Parish Mission Enabler. We’re delighted they’re joining us and looking forward to getting to know them! Here is a short bio from Nick:
Hello All Saints and Saint Catherine’s
Let me start by saying that my family and I are looking forward to getting to know you and being a part of the community. Our plan is to be with you by early September. Until then, here is a little bit of our background.
I grew up in the Ozark Mountains in Missouri, U.S.A., the land of country and bluegrass music, hillbillies and where all food is fried. My wife Sydni grew up in the state of Iowa where there is nothing but fields of corn for miles and miles. It’s a great place if you really like corn, but other than that I can’t think of a good reason to go there. In 2010 we moved to England to serve as missionaries. Since then we have lived in Colchester, Essex and have been involved in a wide range of ministries which have sought to reveal the love of Jesus to those who do not know him. While living here we have had two kids. We have a daughter, Delia, who is 4 and our son, Elwyn, is nearly 1 and 1/2. I hope that you will find us as being a warm and welcoming family with a good sense of humour. More importantly, I think you will see that we are people who are passionate about serving in God’s mission and helping others to recognise and live out their missional calling.
We are eager to journey alongside you, and we are already praying with you that all of Wellington and the surrounding area will soon see and know the love of Jesus and be transformed by the gospel of Jesus Christ.
